Happy July 4th to all my US visitors, don't blow off your fingers with the fireworks.
The big story might have been a pretty big rocket pushing the Space Shuttle Discovery into orbit that thankfully didn't turn into a firework itself, but there were two great 4th July speeches made today, one by the Commander in Chief: President Bush and another by the CJCS Marine General Peter Pace here on www.foxnews.com

No mention of the giant firework that North Korea sent up to celebrate the 4th of July, Colonel, considered yourself chided, after all many Bothan spies die to bring us this information.

@ Vaughan: The military have always issued holiday messages. You get a Christmas card from me don't you?
I knew those funding cuts to the military's time budget would come back to haunt us.
Damn it Man!, don't those fat cats on the civilian oversight committee realise there is an ever widening time gap between the US and her enemies!
