Today is
Veterans Day in the US. A day of prades and speeches, a day of rememberence and appreciation for all the servicemen and women who have taken part in the defence and security of the US from the forces of evil. It's a day to remember those who fought in wars past and current conflicts, for those who risked their lives and lost them. You will
not be forgotten.

Sometimes also known as Armistice Day.
Not since 1954, but yes naturally if you were around before then you'd still call it Armistice Day. I still call a Snickers a Marathon, Starburst - Opel Fruits, The University Hospital is the Regional etc.
