Padawan Ahsoka Tano

In 2008, Star Wars: The Clone Wars expands the Star Wars universe with plenty of surprises. I've received word of the possibility that 3 or 4 episodes of the upcoming animated series will be strung together and released theatrically in the Autumn.

This week, during the annual Toy Fair events around the world it is expected that Lucasfilm will offer a glimpse at some of these surprises. Many of the years upcoming Star Wars toys have offered glimpse into characters that will appear in both the Clone Wars and The Force Unleashed consile video game. Among those from the Clone Wars TV series are Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda and a mysterious new Padawan named Ahsoka Tano.

This young Togruta is eager to prove herself as a worthy Padawan to her bold Master, Anakin Skywalker. Able to wield a lightsaber and pilot a spacecraft with great talent, Ahsoka promises to become a worthy Jedi.

There is much more to learn about Ahsoka and the role she plays in the epic Clone Wars adventures and the Star Wars saga. My own speculation is that she'll die horribly and further Anakin's own descent into darkness to complete his destiny as Darth Vader, I've been wrong once before, but I doubt this time :)

Anakin Skywalker was a Jedi Master?, is God Retconning or does this mean that this is non-canon material?

HOW DARE YOU?!!! God would never retcon! That's like saying he's fallible.

Anakin Skywalker was indeed never a Jedi Master; This is fact.

The term "Master", however is used by a Padawan when speaking to a superior Jedi such as the one assigned to train them. If you recall Episode II, you heard Anakin say "yes Master" to Obi-Wan to the point of distraction. Obi-Wan was actually only a Knight during Episode II, as one can only be a Master when your first Padawan becomes a Knight. We may hear Obi-Wan being referred to as a Master before Episode III but that's because of his "role" as a "master" to a Padawan but not actually having yet achieved the Jedi Master rank.

Therefore there is little issue with this Ahsoka Tano referring to Anakin as her Master.

I will remind you that if you were paying attention during Episode III when the newly christened Darth Vader enters the Jedi council chamber filled with Younglings; One says: "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?" As Anakin himself was specifically denied the Rank then the Youngling must be using "Master" as a term of respect.

Yeah, Yeah, Yawn!, climb down off your high horse there Sally. I wonder does this Ahsoka Tano chick ever get to say "I must obey my Master", Wow, Dadakins Skywalker really was a bit of a old perv! ;)

Hey, I seem to remember the freshly minted Vader carving the youngling that called him Master Skywalker, a new one. Care to comment?

Did we see Ahsoka get it by the Imperial Stormtroopers when the Sith Lord turned them on the Jedi?

Well....at least it will be in CG instead of live action and will therefore spare us another dull performance by Manequin Skywalker....I mean Hayden Christensen

Ahsoka is about 13 years of age when she joins Anakin; i think i saw her in one of the Star Wars games a dark jedi.
