"You wanna live forever?"

That's a question I scream at new recruits as I push them out of an aircraft on their first solo jump.

Casper Van Dien
, the star of the original Starship Troopers, will be returning to head up Starship Troopers 3, which will be directed by series writer Edward Neumeier, writer of Robocop.

Plans are apparently afoot to shoot next year. Van Dien will return, now as Colonel John Rico. There'll be some new bugs, draft riots and religion will all play a part in what will undoubtedly be an irrelevant "plot". Oh and "the Federation has a new weapon."

Hopefully it'll be a sequel to the original and not Hero Of The Federation (Yes there was a Starship Troopers 2).

Production is scheduled to begin next March.

Lt.Col, its usually good form to give them a chance to put their parachutes on first.

I saw "Hero Of The Federation" was a complete piece of s**t.

@ Civvy: Hmmm, that would explain the screaming. I thought they were being wimps!

Seriously, Any muppet can parachute out of a plane, but in my unit you have to learn to harness your parachute on the way down.

@ Paladinsword: I'm going to form a support group for people who saw it. Talk about your experience son, let us know how you felt while watching it and what your life was like following seeing the movie...

ah ... nothing like the old 'tentacle up the nose' approach to those old unwanted memories!

The CIA have a working prototype of a memory eraser. I know someone told me but I forget who :)

What? You spoil the guys with parachutes now??? For fuck's sake! Civilian Overseer was right elsewhere: You have gone soft!!

It's unlikely the parachutes work. They're just for show.

Guys the Lt.Col likes suprizes keeps the men on their toes, imagine how suprized Guns was on that last faithful mission when after he leapt out of the plane, he discovered the Lt.Col had replaced his chute with an anvil.

What other commanding officer would run a dril like that, in the middle of a live operation, just to keep his men sharp. Thats love, that is.
