The news was broken on
2IGTV some months back that
NBC was working on a "re-imagination" of the 1976 series
The Bionic Woman which starred
Lindsay Wagner as
Jaime Sommers, a tennis professional whose body is rebuilt with electronic parts after an accident, giving her superhuman abilities.

News came this week that
Michelle Ryan (left) who protrayed slapper
Zoe Slater on
Eastenders for a few years has landed the lead role in the remake. She apparently beat a host of Hollywood names to the role according to Variety.
The original was a poor offshoot of the superior
The 6-Million Dollar Man starring
Lee Majors. I think this version should be superior if only because
Ryan's tits are bigger than
Wagner's. But let's just hope that god-awful East-End accent was faked or she'll be too hard for the yanks to understand and the show won't get very far.
