Sizemore gets even more rehab and Hilton gets pelted with flour.

Tom Sizemore has been ordered back into rehabilitation after admitting he "slipped up" and used methamphetamines during his probation period last week. He has also been given a further three years of probation. Optimistic Sizemore says, "Slips are part of the recovery... but too many slips and of course... you're in a relapse and that's when you've got to return to rehab." Well said Tom.

Elsewhere in celebrityworld: Paris Hilton has become the latest target for PETA - literally. She was ambushed by an anti-fur activists last night and pelted with flour as she made her way to a London Fashion Week after-show party with designer Julien Macdonald, after modeling at his show earlier in the evening.

Do you have a thing for Paris, Colonel? She seems to get a lot of coverage!
Of course, slipping up like this only confirms Tom as the best person to play you.

I have a thing for slagging her off and poking fun at her, but honestly that's about it.

Hey, having a drink problem is socially acceptable in this country, so I'm okay. I don't condone drugs.

Ok, can you please clarify for me (as I don't understand) - exactly how is alcohol not a drug? :-)

You are correct once again you pedantic muppet. Beverage alcohol (ethyl alcohol) is indeed a drug.
A drug is simply: a substance which when absorbed into a living organism may modify one or more of its functions.
In reality, any substance that by its chemical nature alters structure or function in the living organism is a drug. Pharmacological effects are exerted by foods, vitamins, hormones, microbial, metabolites, plants, snake venoms, stings, products of decay, air pollutants, pesticides, minerals, synthetic chemicals, virtually all foreign materials (very few are completely inert), and many materials normally in the body."
This means that foods, vitamins, hormones and the other substances described are all drugs. Practically everything is a drug including the oxygen we breathe. Nevertheless, there is a continuing effort by temperance-oriented groups and agencies to emphasize that alcohol is a drug.
Their intent appears to be to stigmatize alcohol by associating it with illicit drugs. In modern usage, 'drug' has become shorthand for 'illegal drug' or 'street drug.' Yanks still go to the 'drug store,' but they go there to buy 'medications,' not drugs.
In my case above I was using the term 'drug' in the shorthand for the illegal substance variety and not in the general definition. No one around here will ever refer to drink as being a drug as drugs are bad and drink is good.
