Television Returns

Some beloved TV shows are teturning to U.S. screens in the next few weeks.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon Network) returns Sept. 17th. NBC's Chuck returns next Monday 20th. NCIS and spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS) are set for next Tuesday Sept. 21st. Next Thursday, September 23rd is the return date for Fox's Fringe as well as NBC's comedies The Office and 30 Rock.

Smallville returns to the CW network in it's traditional Friday slot for it's final 10th season on Sept. 24th and the weekend hosts the 36th season of Saturday Night Live on NBC on Sept. 25th and Family Guy on Sunday Sept. 26th with American Dad's season premiere to be screened the following week on Oct. 3 both on Fox.

Stargate Universe makes a return on an extreamly bizzare Tuesday on Syfy on Sept. 28th and the following week on October 5th it will be joined by Caprica - I don't know what's going on there. Are they afraid of Smallville or perhaps Fox's Human Target returning to Friday from Oct. 1st?
Holler if I've missed something that I should be watching out for, but I'll cover new shows soon.

@ Former Grunt: It returns November, no day yet.

@ Clark Russell: Fear not Clark, Season 41 of Sesame Street will premiere Sept. 27th and will continue the show's two-year initiative “My World is Green & Growing,” an initiative embracing a robust science and mathematics curriculum as dictated by the liberal overlor -- er, President Obama.

Watch out for to hilarious parodies this year Clark, one called "True Mud" which lampoons True Blood, but perhaps Daddy may find that more entertaining - but not to worry because there'll be a Sesame Street version of Katy Perry's "Hot N' Cold".

Guests this year include: Ryan Reynolds, Amy Poehler, Wanda Sykes, Jennifer Garner, Usher, Zoe Saldana and foulmouth Irishman Colin Farrell who stepped into the spot I couldn't make this year.

Season 14 of Barney & Friends will premiere on October 4th, 2010 with an ALL NEW THEME SONG!!!!!!

and... Chuck?

Chuck is cool! Was it not on last night as the good Colonel said it would [3rd sentence of post].

Or did he... No, no he wouldn't have lied. He wouldn't have lied?

Dang! He DID mention Chuck! I was overly dazzled by the photo of the beautiful Tina Fey and further shocked by the very thorough reporting on Sesame Street.

But what about the animated children's series Arthur? Anything going on there, like some comic book related celebrities turned into animated cat-dog creatures, inspiring literacy and creativity in America's youth?

@ Former Grunt: No I wouldn’t Grunt, I’d never lie.

@ Constance: Arthur? Actually, why yes of course, as a matter of fact there is something happening with regard to a comic book related celebrity turned into animated cat-dog creature, inspiring literacy and creativity in America's youth.
Read all about it here.

@ Bruce: LUCAS! Seriously???! They pulled that? I was expecting Katy to be in a transparent gold teddy the way those fuckwits were going on about it in the news. The yellow dress in the video is one of the most conservative numbers I’ve ever seen the woman in. PBS is worried about her tits??? It’s going to be years before the little girls watching grow to an age where they spend all their time worrying about if theirs are going to grow and years before the little boys realise that chasing a pair is the reason for life. Sesame Street is aimed at an age group whose most recent experience with tits is feeding from them!!!
