If dreams come true...

Civilian Overseer forwarded me on this Threat Level article from Wired.com. Basically it follows a quick investigation into the constitutionality of President Bush retaining power during an "emergancy" and diferring the election due to the threat of terrorism.

It seems a bit far fetched... ...or is it? If only there was some way to help my pal and ensure the continued safety of the entire world since he came to power!

I reckon Sithy has something to do with this. Is George Bush Sithy's Master?.

Or you could instead opt for the old Brownian tactic of "no elections, I'm going to spend all your money on crap"

Of course, none of this is going to matter after the coming race war . . . .

But I've said too much . . .

maybe bruce is referring to the Brownite tactic of saying "we'll look at immigration controls" whilst sending Komrade Milliband to countries dominated by the 'Religion of Peace' and inviting them over so they can add to the liebour client state?
That could lead to a very angry native populance?

Now, Now, Brownie, save your lib dem/neo, neo con/nut case tendencies for some other site, all things considered, Mr.B hasn’t done too badly since getting the hot site. Besides this site in general is dedicated to my old pal, the Lt.Col's harebrained schemes and this thread in particular is dedicated to the likely hood of a sitting president of the U.S. using a pretence to suspend elections and legally retain power beyond his/her's term of office.
It is highly unlikely that this is something to worry about in the short term but this may be indeed be something to worry about in the longer term. Perhaps the probability of this occurring has increased since those FOIA requests have highlighted the possibility.
In fact, I highly anticipate the Tom Clancy novel on the subject. ;-) Now that the relevant topic has been clearly explained, I’d like to hear your opinion on the topic or if you want to make a cutting remark regarding the Lt.Col, I’d like to hear that as well but if you only want to “Brown bash” why not ask the Lt.Col to start a more appropriate thread?

8 MORE YEARS!!!!! Whooohooo!!

Oh and Happy Birthday Colonel!!

Grunt, welcome back!, but you've missed the point, it's not "8 more years whoohoo!", it's for "as many years as it takes for the current crisis to pass, WHOOHOO!" that could be considerable longer than 8 years, hows that for job security?.

P.S. The Lt.Col was keeping the joyful anniversary of the inflication of his terrible presence upon the human race a secret.

@ Bruce: You have. Please answer the door now and go with the men in suits and dark glasses.

@ Brown must die: I'm working on something that will expose the true evil of Brown by bestowing a "great power" upon Sith Apologist. Tune back soon...

@ Grunt: Cheers. But you will die.

@ Civvy: I've learned from working with the CIA, CSS, NSA and DIA that nothing is actually secret at all.

Lt.Col, I've learned from working with the CIA, CSS, NSA and DIA that nothing is actually secret at all. As you are the only consistent element connecting all of agencies and all of these agencies have problems with security leaks, I think you have just outed yourself as the source of the leaks. Admit it you forced poor Scooter Libby to take the fall for you!

You'll never take me alive...

..oh wait, you said I'll die!

Lt.Col surely you meant to say to Grunt "you'll die, horribly, horribly... Frankly after all he has done, We, the people, believe he has earned a slow, lingering, painful and above all unpleasant passing.

Don't worry Grunt. He really wants me dead and I still live.

That said posing as a cocktail waiter in a Parisian gay bar ensures a natural "no fly zone" for the Colonel's aircraft.
